Milwaukee

Milwaukee Neighborhoods.  A clickable map leads to an excellent collection of photos (including some aerial photos) from all over the city and from various periods (mainly during the twentieth century) with descriptions and photo documentation.  Many of 1970s and 1980s photos come from the collection of geographer [the late] Harold Mayer.  The site also includes a short essay, Picturing Milwaukee, by geographer Judith Kenney.  Created by the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee Library.  [ccr]
